In 2003, Mr Toh Sze Chong first ventured into the Middle East for his first project, The Dubai Mall. As its project architect, Sze Chong was involved in the full project cycle and effectively saw it from conception to completion in 2008. For two years thereafter, he was actively involved in building up projects in the fast-growing Middle East region, namely the UAE, Doha, Cairo and Jordan; as well as being the Project Architect overseeing the implementation and construction of Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa.
Sze Chong has garnered a wealth of experience in project management, and collaborative work with a wide range of consultants and international architects was instrumental in ensuring that the team met the tight project deadline with speedy yet quality deliverables. Today, he handles a mix of full scope and frontline design projects within the region while overseeing the growth of DP’s Middle Eastern office. Big or small, locally or overseas, across all of his project works, the director is always hands-on; going down to the ground to engage and provide proper guidance to the team.
