The recent weekend edition of The Business Times (2-3 November 2013) featured local firms with high-profile projects overseas. DP Architects’ The Dubai Mall was one of the projects featured.
In the article, it was mentioned that the firm applied lessons from its many years of retail experience to the mall’s design. For instance, the ease of circulation is paramount – both for the visitors, as well as the service staff and retailers. The firm is also in charge of the massive expansion of the mall, which is in preparation to welcome over 100 million annual visitors. The first phase of the expansion will add 1 million square feet to the mall’s Fashion Avenue.
