IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards 2018

Designed by DP Design, Perennial International Specialist Medical Centre, Chengdu, China, was named winner of IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards 2018 in the Healthcare category. Originally intended as a retail mall, the development was repositioned as a one-stop premier comprehensive specialist medical centre that provides top quality medical services in China.

Facing the unique challenge of designing a world-class medical centre within the unchanged architectural form of a former retail mall, the design team took it as an opportunity to rethink the cold and sterile interior design typical of healthcare facilities.

The end-result is a world-class medical centre that offers a warm, comforting and hospitable environment for its visitors.

IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards is organised annually by International Interior Design Association (IIDA) alongside its other competitions including IIDA Global Excellence Design Awards. It seeks to recognize and honor the highest level of creativity and design excellence in Interior Design/ Interior Architecture projects in the Asia Pacific.
