DPA and VIZZIO Technologies Establish Joint Venture 3Dimension.AI

DP Architects (DPA) and VIZZIO Technologies, a Singapore-based company that specialises in AI modelling and 3D visualisation, signed a strategic investment and collaboration agreement, marking the establishment of joint venture company 3Dimension.AI. The agreement was signed on 13 September by DPA directors Chan Hui Min, who also heads our Green-Well-Tech thrust, and May Chan; and VIZZIO Technologies CEO Dr Jon Lee and director John Hui at VIZZIO headquarters. Attending the signing ceremony from DPA were CEO Ar. Seah Chee Huang and director Ar. Teoh Hai Pin as well as director of DP Sustainable Design, Er. Yong Siew Onn.

In this exciting cross-industry partnership, DPA and VIZZIO draw from their respective expertise to develop a digital world city platform that is expected to revolutionise the architecture industry. This strategic partnership follows the MOU signing between DPA and VIZZIO during DPA’s 2022 DesignFUTURE Conference, to co-develop software products and services for the built environment sector.

With its extensive experience and knowledge of the industry, DPA has identified common problems faced by architects and urban planners. One of these pain points is the considerable amount of time spent to understand the client, community and environment during early project stages. This lengthy data-collection process is further hindered by limited cross sharing and the challenge of relatability between data generated for sustainability requirements and the design.

Recognising this, the in-progress geospatial platform leverages on the power of automation and AI to address these challenges. Through the utilisation of accurate, realistic digital twin models of cities, practitioners can more efficiently map, analyse, augment and experience their designs with the use of real-time data. With a platform that generates dimensionally accurate 3D digital twin models of any city around the world, architects are better equipped and empowered to explore, experiment and innovate. This changes not only the way the industry designs, but also the manner in which design is experienced.
