Dadi Surya’s design-focused yet people-centric approach has enabled him to accrue an impressive portfolio of projects of timeless design across a wide range of building types and scales. His ability to sensitively consider culture, context, climate and communities, is evident in the way he seamlessly integrates complex architectural programming into a cohesive whole and conceptualises distinct architecture that identifies with both the people and its locale.

The strength of his designs stems from his belief that mixed-use developments, when well-designed can effectively engage its community through a vibrant mix of programmes that serve as urban catalysts. His contribution to the firm’s creative portfolio includes The Dubai Mall in Dubai, UAE; Haliç Tersanesi Master Plan in Istanbul, Turkey; and The Trilliant at Tashkent in Uzbekistan. In Singapore, his notable projects include PSA Vista, the 1st revamp of Wisma Atria in 2004, Centrepoint SC, The Trillium, Centennia Suites, Zhongshan Park, SBF Center and The Woods Square.

Dadi is also instrumental in DP Architects’ successful expansion into Indonesia, where he led the design direction for projects like Senayan City, Central Park & Neo SoHo at Podomoro City, The Peak, La Vie Residence, Ciputra World Surabaya, and Trans Icon Surabaya. These prominent projects have defined the Jakarta skyline and established the firm’s reputation in Indonesia as a design and service-focused practice, leading to numerous successful and ongoing undertakings in the country.

Within the firm, he set up the Design Department and is leading the Digital thrust with the aim of developing greater synergies across DP’s multidisciplinary architecture-related specialists and deepen its integrated design delivery.
