DP Architects (DPA) was awarded Gold in the category Place-Making (Architecture) in this year’s Singapore Design Award. Among DPA’s portfolio of work, Yotel Singapore received special mention for the firm’s savvy use of space within a tight site and creative interpretation of distinct affordable luxury. The design was inspired by first-class airline cabins and imbues a high level of quality and comfort with curated high-tech services despite limited space.
DP Design, DPA’s design specialist arm, was selected as a finalist for the category Place-Making (Interior). Its design work on Chengdu Medical Specialist Centre in China gained special mention for its innovative transformation of a retail-intended development into a world-class medical centre that offers a warm and comforting atmosphere for its visitors.
