11 exceptional projects by DPA and DPG – from Singapore, China and India across various typologies – have been recognised at the World Design Awards 2025. Organised by The Architecture Community (TAC), the awards recognise exceptional architectural projects that redefine design and highlight projects that address issues of sustainability, flexibility and examine the relationship between architecture, the natural environment and communities.
Hospitality
A Handwritten Collection at Waterloo Street (Hotel Waterloo Singapore – Handwritten Collection) is a winner in the Hospitality (Under Construction) category. The development integrates with the vibrant arts and heritage precinct of Bras Basah and Bugis. The hotel’s design features a two-storey commercial podium, sheltered performance space, lush greenery and pedestrian-friendly features, enhancing the area’s cultural and urban connectivity.
Novotel Goa Panjim is a winner in the Hospitality (Built) category. Nestled in the heart of Panjim, the capital city of Goa, the urban hotel is reimagined as a tranquil sanctuary, using an L-shaped design to create a central courtyard that connects the city to the retreat within. Its wave-inspired façade, natural materials, and seamless spatial flow evoke a serene, resort-like atmosphere.
The Standard, Singapore, a winner in the Hospitality (Built) and Landscape Design (Built) categories, blends tropical nature with urban energy, reflecting the brand’s bold, quirky identity. Inspired by its West Hollywood roots, the design features a dynamic lenticular façade, creating a vibrant, unorthodox space that aspires to be the city’s top social hub. The development seamlessly blends hospitality, nature, and architecture. With over 40% greenery, native plants, and sustainable features, the hotel offers a vibrant, multi-sensory landscape. The central courtyard, whimsical art and immersive design create a dynamic, interactive urban retreat focused on creativity and wellness.
Mixed-Use
Life Hub @ Bund Central, a development in Shanghai featuring a retail mall and a 180m office tower, is a winner in the Mixed-Use (Built) category. It connects to the broader master plan, including Gongyi-Fang and cultural sites, through activated plazas, alleyways and elevated public spaces that reframe programmatic relationships.
Luneng Dalian Jinshitan Meilihui is a winner in the Mixed-Use (Built) category. It deploys a “seascape penetration” strategy, with staggered, pearl-like buildings and curvilinear forms to enhance ocean views. The design creates dynamic, layered coastal spaces and an open, rhythmic streetscape that blends concealment and revelation.
The Tianjin Eco-City Green Innovation Park Masterplan (Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Innovation Park) is a winner in the Urban Design (Under Construction) category. Initiated in 2022, it aims to create a sustainable, mixed-use city centre. Focused on China’s “Dual Carbon” policies, it symbolises bilateral cooperation, blending Singapore’s sustainability expertise with eco-friendly urban development.
Office Building
Paya Lebar Green, a winner in the Office Building (Built) category, is a sustainable redevelopment in Singapore’s Paya Lebar District, transforming the former Certis Centre into a green, mixed-use gateway. It features adaptive reuse, energy-efficient strategies and a focus on wellbeing, earning Green Mark Platinum certification with a commitment to long-term sustainability and community integration.
Odeon 333 is also a winner in the Office Building (Built) category. Comprising a seven-storey office and retail building on North Bridge Road, it is designed to complement its surroundings and Odeon 331. Its dynamic façade, landscaped terraces, and vibrant ground-level spaces promote wellbeing and sustainability, harmonising old and new through thoughtful design and material choices.
Commercial
RMZ Nexity is a winner in the Commercial (Built) category, located in Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City, within the CBD. Comprising three 22-storey towers, it seamlessly blends nature with the modern workplace through dynamic architecture and sustainable design. Its striking façade is conceived for environmental performance, functional elegance and enhanced aesthetics, redefining the city’s skyline. The architectural approach integrates wellbeing and biophilic principles to create immersive social spaces and a differentiated workplace experience for users.
Public Building
Danzhou Bay Hub, a winner in the Public Building (Built) category, is a major component of the renovation of Tonghai Avenue in Danzhou, Hainan, China. It is designed to enhance the quality of local facilities and provide a variety of public spaces for the surrounding communities.
Residential
My Home 99, a winner in the Residential (Under Construction) category, redefines residential excellence in India. Nestled in the serene location of Kokapet, Hyderabad, this exclusive residential tower boasts 99 premium units, true to its name, and offers an elevated standard of living. Designed as a multi-generational waterfront community, My Home 99 blends sophistication with luxury.
