DP Architects Wins Impact Enterprise Excellence Award at Sustainability Impact Awards 2026

Catalysing compelling environmental and social outcomes across scale and scope, DP Architects (DPA) was awarded the Impact Enterprise Excellence Award at the Sustainability Impact Awards 2026. Held on 23^rd September, the award is jointly presented by The Business Times and UOB, celebrating enterprises that have demonstrated outstanding influence and contributions to the wider sustainability ambition.

For DPA, sustainability extends beyond green buildings. Alongside the environmental angle, social and technological aspects are likewise significant when considering resilience and continuity. These three domains are consolidated under the practice’s Board-governed, whole-of-firm Green-Well-Tech (GWT) thrust to create a comprehensive framework. Operationalised through the firm’s own Attributes of Purposeful Design (APD) design tool and guide, this intention to reach integrated and inclusive solutions is deeply ingrained in DPA’s design decision-making, evident in the firm’s diverse portfolio of works.

Projects that have set benchmarks in sustainability efforts include: Zero Energy Building @ BCA Academy, Asia’s first retrofitted net-zero building; Resorts World Sentosa and NUS University Town, the first two Green Mark District award-winning projects; Paya Lebar Green, Singapore’s first office building to achieve all five Green Mark 2021 badges; The Greenhouse at Dulwich College (Singapore), the first net-zero private institutional building; and Bukit Canberra, a community hub that adopts biophilic urbanism and regenerative design principles. Demonstrating scope and depth in executing sustainable architecture and spaces, DPA projects reflect how low-carbon, net-zero and whole-life carbon outcomes can also be commercially viable.

DPA demonstrates a deep commitment to social outcomes on a firm-wide, operational level through collaborations with various community stakeholders, including Montfort Care. Partnership with the latter has engendered the co-conceptualisation, design and delivery of senior activity centres, which have since formed a network of progressive senior care programmes. These centres, comprising the community kitchen Goodlife Makan, carpentry and craft Goodlife Studio (Bukit Purmei) and tea appreciation Goodlife Studio (Bedok), have also inspired employees to give back to the community, marking 588 working hours dedicated to volunteerism. As a whole, DPA aspires towards the pursuit of a regenerative, better-than-sustainable urban future – both environmentally and socially.
