DP Architects’ Executive Chairman, Ar. Angelene Chan, was conferred with The Public Service Medals (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) as part of the 2026 National Awards 2026 in conjunction with Singapore’s 61st National Day.

Nominated by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and Dover Park Hospice, these honours recognise Angelene’s contributions and dedication to public service and her commitment to contributing meaningfully beyond her professional practice.

Instituted in 1973, the Public Service Medal is a national honour awarded to individuals in Singapore who have rendered commendable public service, as well as those who have distinguished themselves in fields including the arts, sports, science, business, the professions and the labour movement.

Angelene’s commitment to public service extends across the built environment and community sectors. As Vice Chairman of Dover Park Hospice, she has contributed her expertise and experience towards supporting the organisation’s mission and its role in providing compassionate end-of-life care. Her involvement echoes her belief in the role of design, leadership and the built environment in creating meaningful impact for people and communities.

This recognition adds another milestone to Angelene’s ongoing contribution to Singapore, reflecting not only her leadership in architecture and design, but also her dedication to serving the wider community.
