Design Affair 2018

In the inaugural Design Affair Event organised by design and architecture magazine d+a, DP Architects director Ms Chan Hui Min was invited as a panellist for the forum discussion centred on the topic of Sustainability in Urbanisation: Fact or Fiction?

In an opening presentation before the discussion, Ms Chan gave insights on sustainability, highlighting that it is not and should not simply focus on the environment. It must also consider and meet the needs of people. She shared the perspective that sustainable development is the kind of development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The discussion took place on 18 October at the Commune Flagship Store in Millenia Walk. Held in conjunction with Archifest 2018, the Design Affair is an introspective 12-day event that aims to challenge conventions and promote discourse through a series of experiential and interactive activities.
