DP Design Directors Named SG’S 30 Influential Interior Designers

DP Design marked a momentous occasion as their directors IDr. Mike Lim and Director IDr. Allan Wang was recognised as two of Singapore’s 30 Influential Spatial/Interior Designers. Organised by the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS), the award celebrates leading professionals who are shaping Singapore’s design landscape and beyond.

IDr. Mike Lim was recognised for his humanist approach and leadership in elevating DP Design on the global stage. A strong advocate of socially responsible design, he believes design perfection extends beyond aesthetics — elevating how people experience space and inspiring a strong sense of community. This is evident across his designs, which span a diverse range of project types and scale from the award-winning Penn Color Technology Center, Yotel Singapore, and Cinemaxx Junior in Jakarta, to Dubai Mall in UAE, Emaar Square Mall in Istanbul, Turkey, the Grand Hi Lai Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, and The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mike is currently involved in the retail planning and design of Changi Airport’s Terminal 5.

The award testifies to IDr. Allan Wang’s unwavering pursuit of design excellence. Applying a cross-disciplinary, people-centric approach, his designs are characterized by strategic yet sensitive planning and thoughtful detailing that resonate deeply with its end-users. His standout projects include A Verdant Workplace, which plays with a ‘walk in the park’ concept to deliver a delightful office environment; The Work Suite, which integrates nuances from hospitality design for a stunning workplace that engenders collaboration and community; and, the Singapore Airlines’ SliverKris Lounge at Perth International Airport in which he elevated its brand offerings and experience through creative wellbeing design strategies.

Both Mike and Allan’s recognition underscores DP Design’s continued impact in shaping purposeful, engaging environments through design. The awards ceremony was held on 23^rd April 2025, at Mondrian Singapore Duxton, as part of SIDS’ 30^th anniversary gala celebration.
