DP Design’s Odeon 331 and DP Green’s Punggol Green Clinches Singapore Good Design Award

ALL NEWS

DP Architects is pleased to share that two of our projects—Odeon 331 and Punggol Green—have been recently awarded the Singapore Good Design (SG Mark) under Spatial Design and Architecture categories, respectively.

A benchmark of good design and quality, SG Mark recognises exceptional designs that create positive impacts on businesses and communities in Singapore. Odeon 331, a renewed lobby space by DP Design, transforms the former Odeon Towers into a lively intersection of work and leisure, inviting both office users and visitors to relax, connect and unwind. Minimising its impact on the environment, the space integrates naturally ventilated systems and energy-efficient features.

Complementing this, the open through-block link and outdoor resting spots seamlessly blend nature with functionality while encouraging a sense of community. This redesign introduces third spaces, facilitating organic interactions and offering a more connected environment. The refreshed, porous lobby is now an urban park, providing a versatile, modern space blending work and play with a focus on wellbeing.

With a similar emphasis on the community, Punggol Green by DP Green is a creative transformation of a previously unutilised space located underneath the viaduct of Punggol MRT and Sam Kee LRT into a social and wellness linear park. Firmly grounded in people-centric principles, the project is a result of close community engagement with residents and stakeholders, further instilling a sense of ownership and belonging.

Contributing to a walkable and liveable city, Punggol Green provides a circulation network and an inclusive addition to its existing fabric, establishing itself as a social spine that brings the community closer through active ageing and playful learning.

Beyond offering access to nature for the community, the space also enhances natural habitats—native and coastal plants were used as an extension of the surrounding planting scheme, creating habitats for local species and strengthening local biodiversity.

Exemplifying the importance of thoughtful and sustainable design in creating spaces that benefit the community, Punggol Green serves as a model of how unutilised city spaces can be reimagined to create vibrant possibilities, uplifting and strengthening the fabric of urban life.
