Presented on 4th September in conjunction with the International Built Environment Week (IBEW) 2026, DP Architects (DPA) has been recognised as Company of the Year, with Outram Secondary School Sengkang Campus winning Project of the Year. Awarded by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), these achievements are testament to the practice’s continuous pursuit of purposeful design and architectural excellence.
Accorded Company of the Year, DPA’s multipronged approach to build a future-ready workforce is anchored by its people-first ethos and driven by a focused organisational vision that positions the practice in alignment with – and ahead of – broader shifts in the industry. Attesting to this collective aspiration, Outram Secondary School Sengkang Campus has been awarded Project of the Year in the Institutional category as the first zero-energy government school in Singapore. Foregrounding architectural porosity for broader student and community engagement while providing flexible settings for learning, the design scheme is underpinned by a consciousness for the environment through the pivotal incorporation of landscape and sustainable systems. The environment is thus positioned as the ‘third teacher’, with landscape serving as a multifunctional system for eco-resilience and biodiversity. Actualised through a Common Data Environment on an analytics-driven platform with federated BIM, along with IoT-enabled environmental monitoring and real-time site analytics, the architectural scheme combines construction technology with a driven design intent to create a sustainable, holistic environment for teaching and learning.
