Driving Growth through Business and Digital Transformations – Internationalisation for Built Environment Sector

ALL NEWS

With the world seemingly becoming more isolated due to lockdowns brought about by COVID-19, it is all the more important for businesses to build resilience and look towards growth outside of their own borders. In the live webinar co-organised by The Building Construction Authority Singapore, SkillsFuture Singapore and Singapore Management University, a panel of experts from various fields of the built environment spoke about the value of internationalisation and how it can be done effectively.

Mr Seah Chee Huang, director at DP Architects, shared how DP values internationalisation and how it has been an integral part of the firm’s core values as exemplified by its One Global Studio ethos. Chee Huang reiterates that in order to better equip firms to tackle the global stage and be resilient amid unforeseen challenges such as COVID-19, it is necessary to maintain competency and relevance in the staff. He shared that DP does so via its own DP Academy — a continuous structured learning platform that equips staff through courses, certifications and even knowledge sharing sessions. He attributes this to the value that the firm has placed on an attitude of lifelong learning. This culture of learning has been instilled from the founding members of DP.

The webinar was held on August 13 and attended by 467 participants. It aimed to share insights on how business can leverage the power of technology, tap on digitization and evolve to enter new markets in a post-COVID-19 world.
