Sengkang General Hospital wins Silver at the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards 2019

ALL NEWS

26th September was a night of jubilee for DP Green as it clinched Silver at the 2019 Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards (SLAA) gala dinner for its work on Sengkang Health Campus (SKH). SKH Campus, completed and officially operational in 2018, is a healthcare development offers cutting-edge facilities with a patient-centric focus in a friendly healing environment. This is clearly expressed in its outset with the ‘Community heart’ at its main entrance. Here, the contemplative water fountain feature set in an open courtyard and a pedestrian concourse with a calming soft and hard landscape treatment draws the community in. This landscape design language is consistently applied throughout; articulated as pocket gardens at multiple levels to tie different spaces and to function together as restful sanctuaries for patients. Ultimately, the landscape components help foster a restorative hospital environment for users.

The SLAA award programme is part of the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects’ (SILA) strategic push to raise Leadership in Design by encouraging and recognising innovative design efforts in integrating our urban environment and complex natural systems. Thus, receiving Silver for SKH Campus is more than a celebration of DPG’s design works. It is a recognition of the firm’s continued commitment to connecting people and nature through the creation of inspiring settings.
DPG has also received awards for its other projects in earlier iterations of the SLAA. Read more about each project here:
