A New Tradition, Inspired by Historical Heritage
The Verandah Residences
231 Pasir Panjang Road

Reflecting the rich heritage of its location, The Verandah Residences draws inspiration from the black and white bungalows that still reside in the neighbouring cluster, harking back to the bygone colonial days. It is designed to be low-rise and low-density, to preserve the charm of its stately exclusivity.

Inspired by the two iconic motifs that mark the architectural heritage of a colonial bungalow; one being its staid black and white colour scheme, another being the generous verandahs, The Verandah Residences seeks to recreate the dignity and distinctiveness of traditional colonial bungalows. The elongated eaves and ledges, and judicious employment of louvered screens provide shelter from sun and rain while allowing for natural ventilation. These are complemented by balcony verandahs spaces and full-height windows, which encourage natural ventilation throughout the units. Each of these design elements are also characteristic of vernacular architecture for the local tropical climate.

The Verandah Residences is situated along Pasir Panjang Road. The freehold development comprises 170 units in four 5-storey blocks and three townhouses.
