DPA Wins Big at Rethinking The Future’s Global Architecture & Design Award 2022

ALL NEWS

DP Architects (DPA) is proud to announce that the firm has secured 2 First placements at the recently concluded Rethinking The Future’s Global Architecture & Design Award (GADA) 2022. The Skyview took home First in the Commercial (Built) category. One Paramount 2 was recognised with a First in the Commercial (Concept) category. Notably, DPA is one of the few firms in the awards competition to have multiple Firsts.

Both winners are emblematic of DPA’s design intentionality in prioritising user comfort and elevating the human experience within the built environment, while pushing for more creatively context-sensitive and climate-responsive designs.

The Skyview is envisioned as a landmark building standing apart from its counterparts with its playful façade of perforated aluminium panels. To shield the building from the southwestern sun glare, parametricism was incorporated into the vertical expression of the facade. This not only provides a solar shade that contributes to the building’s lower energy consumption but also creates a play of light and shadow, combining function with aesthetical charm.

Designed with the intention to enhance social interaction among its users, One Paramount 2 features a delightful array of spaces. Seamlessly weaved together, these spaces provide end-users with an eclectic and engaging non-traditional work experience.

Rethinking The Future’s annual GADA programme recognises projects exhibiting excellence and innovation in architecture and design. It aims to raise awareness of strategies employed by architects and designers in tackling modern challenges, promoting the best of them to inspire the next generation.
