International Architecture Awards 2026: DPA Takes Home 4 Wins and 4 Honorable Mentions

Eight of our projects have been recognised at the International Architecture Awards (IAA) 2026, an internationally recognised awards programme honouring architectural works since 2004. Singapore Pavilion, Expo 2025, Osaka, Life Hub @ Bund Central, Lusail Boulevard, and The Seef were awarded wins in their categories while Odeon 333, RMZ Nexity, The Ring·Live and The Standard, Singapore each received Honorable Mention.

The Singapore Pavilion, Expo 2025, Osaka, winner in the Display/Installations category, is a purpose-driven national pavilion commissioned by the Singapore Tourism Board to embody Singapore’s ethos of being “small in size, big in dreams.” Occupying a compact 1,003 sqm site, the 17-metre-tall Dream Sphere is clad in 17,000 recycled aluminium Dream Discs featuring the Seigaha wave motif, celebrating the shared island identity of Singapore and Japan. It showcases Singapore’s aspirations for sustainability, inclusivity, innovation and urban-nature harmony on the global stage.

Life Hub @ Bund Central, winner in the Mixed Use Buildings category, is a development comprising a retail mall and a 180-metre office tower at the heart of the Hongkou Lot 18 urban regeneration in Shanghai, balancing high-density growth with the preservation of the site’s historic fabric. The design responds sensitively to its heritage context through terraced massing, landscaped public spaces and the Garden Walk, which creates visual and physical connections to the conserved neighbourhood. A network of porous circulation routes, plazas and sky courts seamlessly integrates old and new, creating a vibrant lifestyle destination that celebrates Shanghai’s evolving urban identity.

Lusail Boulevard, winner in the Mixed Use Buildings category, is a 52-hectare mixed-use district envisioned as the ‘heart and lungs’ of Lusail City, Qatar. Its diverse precincts are carefully organised around a pedestrian-oriented boulevard, balancing human-scaled retail podiums with landmark towers. Rooted in local heritage while embracing innovation, the development reinterprets traditional courtyard concepts to create a seamless relationship between public and private spaces, supported by integrated pedestrian connectivity and sustainable design strategies.

The Seef, winner in the Mixed Use Buildings category, is a waterfront development in Lusail City, Qatar. The development integrates five distinctive high-rise residential towers with exclusive townhouses and curated ground-floor retail along the waterfront promenade. One core design consideration was environmental advancement and sustainability, balancing functional efficiency, architectural identity and high-quality mixed-use living.

Odeon 333, an Honorable Mention in the Office Buildings category, is a seven-storey office and retail development that strengthens the urban relationship with the adjacent Odeon 331 through a shared architectural language and connected public realm. Within Singapore’s historic civic district, the project transforms a compact site into a civic destination through a sheltered Privately Owned Public Space (POPS), naturally ventilated landscaped terraces, and an open lobby connected to Odeon 331. Passive design strategies enhance sustainability, thermal comfort, and community interaction.

RMZ Nexity, an Honorable Mention in the Office Buildings category, is a landmark commercial development within Hi-Tech Knowledge City, strategically located adjacent to . Comprising three 22-storey office towers, the design responds to the site’s prominent location and evolving workplace trends. Guided by themes of community and connectivity, it maximises lake views, natural light and pedestrian accessibility through landscaped courtyards, green boulevards and seamless public spaces. By integrating nature with contemporary workplace design, RMZ Nexity creates a people-centric, sustainable environment while establishing a distinctive architectural presence on Hyderabad’s evolving skyline.

The Ring·Live, an Honorable Mention in the Community Centers category, is the core of Shanghai’s Galaxy Midtown project and envisioned as a future-ready, people-centric community hub in Xuhui district. Inspired by Singapore’s integrated community model, the project combines retail, culture, public services, sports, office, and residential functions into a seamless “Life Lab”. Through thoughtful spatial planning, interconnected pedestrian networks, and links to surrounding public spaces, The Ring·Live fosters community interaction, enhances urban connectivity, and creates a vibrant environment where people, architecture, and nature coexist harmoniously.

The Standard, Singapore, an Honorable Mention in the Hotels category, is an eight-storey urban sanctuary located between Singapore’s Botanic Gardens and Orchard Road. Its distinctive lenticular façade and lush, biophilic interiors create a unique hospitality experience, transforming the podium into a vibrant social landscape with hidden courtyards, terraces and a landscaped pool deck. Blending architecture, landscape and sensory experiences, The Standard, Singapore reimagines contemporary hospitality as an intimate and dynamic urban retreat.
